They are precious, I think that's why I rushed mom and dad to spawn again....I wanted more fry to soften the blow in case, heaven forbid, anything goes wrong with my two week old babes.
I promised Julie a pair (since she's been hearing my whine about the orangies since they were a few months old) and I only wound up with a couple survivors so I had to cook some up for her too
As for getting rid of them ...that's going to be tough, I think that's why I went for rare ,somewhat pricey fish,I know if someone pays a pretty price for a betta they're going to take good care of it, so I won't have to worry

Hope u have a clean spawn with no problems
HAHAHA. That is one of the funniest, and the cutest, things I have ever seen. Poor guy is all tuckered out!!! But I'm soooo proud of him. Sounds like if there are that many fry he has been a very good daddy!!!
I really can't tell how many there are...over 20,maybe 30.They're so tiny and they hide really close to the plants while some creep along the bottom, it's easier to take a count at night when the lights are off.
On the second night I noticed that I had around 30 or 40 free swimmers and about 150 noodles who kept falling. I was torn and I just left him in, even though he was getting aggravated with the swimmers. He'd go and get them and bring them back to the nest and they'd swim away
so everybody that I have left is from the "noodle" batch
