yup, it's the indian almondwuvmybetta said:It works pretty well, I have to take the male out everytime because he's an egg eater, so I lower it even more, to about 2" or so. These are 5 gallon tanks, I tried them in a 10 and there was just too much room to hide. I had to downsize to get the deed doneiloveyou said:so u use the shallow breeding method? how has it been working? im considering trying that this time around... what size are those tanks? i got a 3 gallon i might try shallow breeding in... but it has rocks in it..

.bkk has turned me on to the almond leaf, I still haven't got it yet though. Right now I'm using Amazon Rain with them, it worked great for conditioning the last time but I'll tell ya....the male NEEDS something to help him calm down. He's been such a little workhorse since he was tiny, he really is a true breeder, that's all he wants to do and he gets a little overexcited. The female on the other hand....just wants to sit around and watch me all day...and eat, of course
This is around their 7th or 8th time spawning and they're very familiar with each other...I keep peeking in through the handy dandy clear lid (where I'm not noticed) and they're being so good, the female is actually helping rather than eating the eggs before the male can pick them up.
