so in a few months time i'm planning on re-doing my little tanks, two 3.5g 's and a 2.5g (U.S).

so which option do you think for the 3.5g's?

also i think i may use the 2.5g to breed snails (if i get a dwarf puffer) if i don't i will leave it spare.

a list of options i have for the 3.5g's :

a betta
trio of killifish
a red claw crab
a dwarf puffer
shrimp
snails
adf's
bumblebee goby?

cheers for your opinions

filtered by a fluval 1+ room temp. (which canhit 30c at times normally around 23c though.

well i definatley am going with a trio of killi's in one tank (2 of my kili eggs have hatched so far, hoping the rest do aswel now :) )

i'm leaning towards the crab now, doing a beach sort of thing for it, brackish water etc.

:good:

if you go with the crab, make sure the lid on the tank is secure :D

Haha. I remember when one escaped at my friends house and was found in the morining outside the room where his siter was having a sleep over. We all thought it was a leaf at first.

yeah they won't get out lol, to get out it would have to climb about 5" of glass lol,

i'm thinking of a beach set-up so a sloping gravel bank with maybe a cave ( something maybe pebbles or half a flower pot covered in silicone to get it covered in gravel)

anyone know what salinity is best for these crabs?

:good:

Ian had a couple in his trank at first, think that was about 4/5 inches to the top of it from the water level they escaped. We thought it was all properly sealed up :/ be v careful

:/ ok...... i'll put something really heavy on the lid like a brick lol.

there would be nothing to climb up in my tank higest thing would be about 4" from the top probably, so they wouldn't be able to get out surely, they can't climb the glass? or jump knock off the lid then jump out ?

:good:

i think i will try it i can't see anyway out for a crab unless it can jump quite high.

did your tank have wires for pump/ airline tubing etc?

also what level of salinity did you keep yours?

:good:

wasn't my tank, was Ian's, so I don't know, just knopw they got out!
