Hey, im currently trying to find me a cheap 100gal tank and accesories, ebay and newspaper :shifty: iv finally managed to win over the parents and find the room to fit one in so im starting to reaserch fish i can put in it when i find it.

So my basic question is what oddballs, or collection of oddballs could i house in a 100gal tank?

thanks for the help

Tom

100g is a fair size tank with loads of options
eels,bichirs,knife fish,needle fish,leaf fish,gobies,butterfly fish to name a few :good:

thanks cane i probably wont beable set up the tank till nearer christmas lol, lots of stuff to do over summer and i may be off to the army next april, so i dont know if its worth it at the moment, just got to wait for my grades to come through, decided weather to be an officer or not lol

Anyway thanks for the reply, i thought it would be best to put in a fair amount of reaserch as i am reasnobly new to the fish world lol. Plus i have limited funds so its going to take some time go build up all the kit for this size tank. What would be the best way to filter this tank?

wish i could mark, but im west midlands and i cant drive, and i think my dad would slap me if i asked to be driven down to essex for a fish tank

Lol your knowledge outstands me how is the aro gonna turn 100g long means narrow and short. You can grow on an aro in a 100g as long as with in say a year you can move it to larger conditions.

lol every1 has to learn sometime feral  lol and iv never seen the point in geting a fish that will outgrow the tank you put it in. :S whats the point lol, anyway bit of an update i mite be getting the tank late august :D

Knife fish are nice, you could also try bichirs as mentioned. If I was you I'd dedicate the tank to souly bichirs  different species every where ^_^
