Anyone got opti-white glass with your tanks?

Wondering if its worth the additional cost.

I’ve had it on a couple of tanks now and think it’s worth the cost on bigger tanks you can sometimes get just the front panel in optiwhite which helps the cost

The site ive been looking on does have the option to just have the front panel done and most reviewers on there have done just that.

Think that would be my route because of where the tank will be postioned in the room i wouldnt get value from having the sides done. For an extra £64 it might be worth going for it then. :)

My main tank has an opti-white front panel. The front panel does look better than the sides.

Thanks Essjay,

Think im right in thinking you purchased a tank from ND Aquatics

Im currently looking into buying a tank from them.

Could i ask how your tank was delivered please? Did your tank get dropped off on a pallet or was it brought in your house

Mine with the front panel was ND too but it was a long time ago great tank. Delivery was ok I think their driver helped us in with it too.

Thats good to hear wills thank you. They do seem to get good reviews.

I am concerned with getting into postion in the house with it being such a big tank. Hopefully they can help me with that.

How big is it? Mine was quite a straight run to get it into place. If its much over 4 foot you might need a couple of people to get it in.

The other option I've done use wheeled dollys to sit the tank on and manouver around the house - I got a couple from Aldi years ago and they are super useful to have around. I used them now to lug water change buckets around :)

I got my tank in early 2014. I live outside ND Aquatics' area so it was supposed to be delivered by a courier. A few days before it was expected I had an email from them saying they were stopping using that courier as they were breaking the tanks, so while they looked for another one they proposed to venture north themselves and do several deliveries on the same day if all the customers could agree a date.

Two of them arrived with the tank and cabinet, they brought the cabinet in first and put it exactly where I wanted it, laid the polystyrene on the cabinet then brought the tank in and put it on the cabinet. My tank is 42 x 18 x 18 inches (do they still work in imperial?) so it was straight forward getting it into the house.

The only slight hiccup was that they made my tank at the last minute so I couldn't fill it with water straight away. I had to wait a couple of days, fill it half way to check for leaks then fill it to the top. It was a week before I transferred the fish etc from the tank with the broken bracer bar. Luckily it is in a different room from the old tank so it was a straight transfer; it would have been a nightmare if I'd had to move the old tank out first with nowhere to keep the fish for a week.

Thanks Essjay,

They do still work in imperial, im looking at a tank 72x24x24 but im thinking of getting a quote to lower the height slightly.

My choice of design is between 2 of the 5 main designs they do. Just no sure on the colour yet.

Delivery seems better than some companies ive look into. Some just drop your tank off on a pallet on your drive.
