What does everyone think of that heater? I might get it, as it says it's suitable for a 120 litre tank, and the one i'm getting will be 124 litres, and then you have the substrate to go in etc. I want to see what you all think of it, before I put it on my shopping list.
Thoughts, opinions and suggestions appreciated!

Personally I think they are a waste of money, its long been known that they do very little to help the plants grow. You'd be better off spending the money on something that with actually make a difference, like lighting or CO2.

Thanks very much for that Sam, you know what i've just said about getting one now, well your not going to find out because it's a family forum. :p I appreciate it. I'm not sure of what heater to get, I don't want anything inside the tank, so I might get a Hydor inline heater than goes on an external filter. If I can find out a bit more information on them that will be helpful.

Good idea on the inline heater, when I need a new heater Im gonna go for one of those.

Sounds like snake oil to me. The next thing they will claim the under gravel heater turns mulm into fish food for everybody. I can't see them being very effective on top of being very slow to respond to a temperature change. Can't imagine what a gravel vacuum will do to this contraption! If the intent is plant growth address ferts, CO2 and lighting as these are the primary needs of the plants.
Cheers;
