I've had a male Opaline gourami for about 2 months now and there's never been a problem. this morning, i noticed some sort of abrasion on his head. i thought it might be hole in head, but it doesn't look like that. looks more like he bumped it on something and scales came off. does anyone know what this is?

I notice this topic is more than a month old, so maybe by now you can give us an update....Personally, I feel that your Gouramie just hurt itself as they are nervous fish and a sudden light turnon or accidental bump against the glass can send them darting off and hurting themselves... Hole in the head is probably (in line with Dropsy) one of the ugliest diseases our fish are exposed to... the worst to watch however (IMO) is flukes)
