Opaline Gourami Ins A 15 Gallon Hex?

Would an Opaline Gourami work in a 15 gallon hex tank? I am trying to move it out of a 29 gallon where it is getting harassed by a fire mouth and was wondering if the 15 gallon would work? It currently has nothing in it and is cycling.

It has a Top Fin 30 filter so it is being heavily over filtered.

make sure the water stats are stable if theu are not then no i wouldnt but make sure it can swimm about i would recomend taking it or the fire mouth back or getting a bigger tank for him/her they do grow 5-6inches long !!

I realize this and thats why i bought it hoping that it would be big enough to go in with the firemouth and hold its own. The firemouth i have had for the at least 2.5 years so i think its a little late to take it back. lol. I only paid 2 dollars for the gourami so if i have to take it back or donate it to a diff store its not a big deal.

Opalines are agressive but i dont think they r fire mouth agressive so id suggest getting something as agressive as the fire mouth and size as well you may have to take it back im afraid

Well I did do my research before purchasing the Gourami and according to everything I read whether or not the firemouth would be aggressive towards it was hit or miss. I guess I have one of the firemouths who doesn't like to play well with others.

I do have one thing for you to keep in mind and infact every one should theory is as only good as the paper its written on

It dsnt preper you for the real thing
