Opaline Gourami & Cherry Shrimp

Made a purchase online for 5 cherry shrimp yesterday, will my gourami be aggressive towards them, not that familiar with gourami tendencies/habits. Thanks.

well opaline gourami tend to be aggressive i wouldnt know if the cherrry shirmp are good but if your gourami picks on other fish then it well most likely pick on the cherry shrimp

hopefully someone else can give you insite i have 3 opaline and my male is only aggressive with the female opaline when i say aggressive i mean the normal chasing other then that i have no issues

I had a very aggressive Gold Gourami in with 3 large Ghost Shrimp & he paid them no mind. He went after any other fish in the community tank but never bothered those shrimp.

Ok thanks guys, my opaline was at one stage bullied by another who i have since gotten rid of, hes good with my danios and tetras so it was more just a question of wether or not gouramis get on with shrimp in general so as mines is chilled with everything else im sure he'll be ok with them!

Well it could be that the one you have is a female and the other was a male
