Pah, checking the EI article again, I started adding potassium sulphate last week - for some reason I had it in my head that I needed to add 10ml 3 x week for my 15-gallon tank. Seems I actually need 2ml 3 x week! Glad I noticed this now and not 6 weeks down the line! No bad signs so far......

LMAO, I can remember doing something similar

Glad things are OK

I have no clue how I misread it, I even had the article on my laptop in front of me while I altered the dosing sheet!

I added to much to mine, and the water went pure white for about a week. But once the filter cleared it the water was crystal clear.

It says 5ml x 3 in the pinned article.

I have read on several of Tom Barr's posts that adding more is OK. It isn't the nutrients that encourage algae, its when plants are not growing properly that algae gets a grip, therefore you shouldn't have a problem.

I add 12ml x 3 in my 33G, and I only get green thread algae, which is due to only just returning to pressurised after having used the backup Nutrafins again while money was scarce. lol

My bad, I meant potassium sulphate......

Did you then I am blind now. lol
I thought you said pot sulph in the orig when I first read it.

I'm off to the opticians now, and the fish and plant shops will blame you for the loss in sales after I buy a pair of DKNY frames when my uncontrollable designer addict twin personality kicks in.
