Just a quick update for you - I emailed Steve @ bettasplendens.co.uk, it seems he has "sort of" updated his site, in that pics of his September import are online, it's just that he hasn't (as far as I can see) linked to it from the homepage.

Anyway, he sent me the link and Sept13 will be in my aquarium tomorrow night!

She Who Must Be Obeyed and I discussed the price issue - KG Bettas have some lovely specimens, and even with postage included, are still cheaper than these. However, we both agreed that it's worth that extra fiver to avoid having a fish travelling overnight.

A lot of people have had a great deal of trouble with KG bettas deliveries in recent weeks. Most people are getting sent incorrect bettas,- and several have also arrived dead or dying. One of mine arrived with fungus on her head. I contacted the seller and was told that she was ok when she left him and it must be down to my postman!!!

thats was our point my arrived well although i did have a wrong female, needless to say i got sent the right 1 unlike anyone else, i'm special

Are there any other sellers you guys would reccommend? I've been looking around alot of online betta stores, but I've yet to see one that says "Yes! That is the one I must have!"

I got my first Betta this week from Betta Boys and I would recommend them highly Very good communication and service. The p+p was spot on aswell.

I have just taken delivery of my Betta from Betta boys, Great quality fish, the 2nd day of being in my tank he was building a bubble nest, so must have settled in quickly!

DO I recall that you're in South Devon? If you're more the Plymouth side, rather than Exeter, and fancy a trip, Trimar in Truro have a good reputation. KittyKat has recommended them a number of times. Their online gallery shows a good variety of colours in both VT and CT, but no HMs or Plakats - it might be worth a little trip down there, if it's not too far for you.

i have had fish from them all in the past, they all have good and bad points, had a few torn fins dead fish ect but they are all we have so if they stopped importing it would be own bred fish and expensive aquabid and pet shops.so dont knock em they all try get in quality bettas and i have had some crackers off them all, none lately due to room..
