have only found http://www.tropical-aquarium-plants.co.uk/ so far, i always find at the lfs there are just little bunches of plant,s i have no idea what they are, and either i darent ask:) or when i do the staff have no idea either.
this place offers a variety of plants, planted wood etc, as well as bumper variety packs at what appear reasonable prices.

anyone got any experiences of buying plants online, or can recommend good plants to grow in the aquarium - of course knowing what fish i would plan on keeping would help, and i'm not too sure, possibly cichlids which in my experience dont go well with plants.

thanks

I would agree with the above link. i brought one of their collections for a 48 inch tank, very fast service, all plants in good condition, would recommend.

For Tropica brand potted plants...absolute 100% excellent healthy condition and packaging is great. You will pay a bit more for these plants but if you don't want to be dissapointed with single stringy stems and the likes of, then these are the plants to have.
I have used them and am speaking from experience.

Greenline for cheap stems, bread and butter plants.

Birstall or Aqua Essentials for high quality potted specimens.

Java ferns, Anubias sp. are ideal for "plant wrecking" fish.
