Hi All,

As the title says really, any recommendations of good online retailers who deliver in the UK and are reliable?

Thanks,

Paul.

Aquaessentials - supply tropica plants which are generally regarded as the best you can get, but tend to be more pricey. Excellent service.

Greenline - grow their own plants, very cheap but the quality isn't as good. Ideal for initial fast growing 'weeds' with specimen/unusual plants from aquaessentials. Watch out for duckweed and copper snail treatments on supplied plants.

Java plants - supposed to be good, but I've never used them

Plants alive - crap, I've had nothing but bad experiences from them. Some people its been OK, but there was a massive thread recently on how crap they can be.

I used java plants & you can get a few iffy plants but most are great :good:

Thanks guys, Aquaessentials it is then......

I have a load more coming from java-plants.co.uk and I never have a trouble. They are actually shipped from thee growers in singapore. Tis cool

Luckily my local pet shop sells Tropica plants. Whenever I've used Greenline they've been excellent.

Well my order has just gone through to aquaessentials so I'll let you know my experience when they deliver

Greenline: excellent pricing, packaging (boxed) and quality.
AquaEssentials/Tropica: surprisingly cost effective given that I ordered '2' vallis mini twister pots and got in excess of 20 good sized specimens! Well packed (boxed) and excellent delivery times.

I would use Greenline for everyday, common stuff, and then use AquaEssentials/Tropica for those special or hard to find plants. I don't really think Tropica stuff will work out that much more expensive than other online shops if the quantity of plants sold in each pot is the same across their range. Now, what would I do with £250 of Tropica plants etc.....
