I have a large onion plant it's growing like a weed happy as can be. I trim back the long leafs not a problem. BUT the roots are growing out of the sand and are spreading out everywhere. I'm afraid it will take over space for my other rooted plants. It already did to my corkscrew val. Now it's working it's way to the other plants.
Should I pull it out and trim the roots back? It's crazy the sand is about 3 almost 4 inches deep and the roots still pop up. Is it trying to propagate? The roots turn green when they have been above the substrate for a while. This plant is out of control.
Here you can see most of the roots popping up.
I think I need to move this plants over a bit away from the other plants.
