I have 4 mollies (3 are female), 4 Guppys (all male), and 4 Platys (3 female). My fish are acting perfectly normal swimming about all of them are not acting any different than they ever do. One of my female dalmation Mollys had fry 2 days ago, I was able to catch 13 of them and they are now in a breeder net. That is the backstory, now onto the reason for my post.

My Black male Molly, has a single white area on his right pectoral fin, the tank is over a year old the only thing I added recently to the tank, was a couple more plants that came from PetSmart (in a plant only seperate tank). He eats fine, swims about like mad just like he always has and the water parameters are as follows : Ammonia 0 Nitrites 0 Nitrates 5ppm, and the PH is 7.5 and constantly steady at that reading.

Do I need to medicate, my instincts tell me to wait a day or so to see if it progresses. Could it possibly be a small injury to the fin? It does not look like ICH from what I have always seen ICH to be (does not look as if the fish were salted) just one single little white area by the tip of his pectoral fin. I would like any opinions on how to move forward. As I stated he is acting perfectly normal and eating and the water is brackish with about a table spoon of salt per 7 gallons because I didnt want to make the water overly salty, and the water has been brackish for a long long time. Should I panic or can healty fish normally beat something like this if they are kept in good conditions like I do?>

I forgot to add that the temp on the water is steady 80 degrees and that my filter is a Cascade 700, water changes weekly 10% and its a 55 gallon tank.

Sorry I fail at reading stickies, I just read it but I dont wanna retype all this info I will follow the form in the future of my postings I am sorry.
Thank you in advance for any reply and help.

Bring the temp up to 86f if you think it is ich and you will not have a problem. Is the spot on the hard ray of the fin? Fish will get a white spot in the ray of the fin if it got damaged. I have had my fish get this from a fight or being nipped maybe even swimming too fast into something if spooked. It will heal fast.
