Woke this morning and checked tank 1st thing. Sadly the little neon died However the Rams seem a tiny bit more active today, not much but they are having odd swim about. They seem to not have energy and after swimming go to rest at bottom with a bit of a plunge. Other thing I noticed is that white spot has gone So will have to keep an eye out over next few days.
I took a water sample to store and asked them to check it, just to see if it matched my readings. I didnt tell them what mine were at 1st but the bloke said my water is bang on (same readings as me, so thats good) I told him about the Rams and the neon and he mentioned about not enough C02 maybe. Ive bought some silocon to seal the tube onto my pump to stop it coming off. They didnt have any valves to regulate the flow in stock.
So from here I think all I can do now is sit and watch, keep a close eye out. Not seen any more flicking or rubbing and all other fish seem in tip top condition.
The Ram died I was really ill yesturday and was bed bound so not sure when it died. It was alive and okish at midnight on saturday. I checked the fish this morning and the ram was dead at bottom! When I managed to get the fish out It had what looked like a cyst right below dorasl fin but not eaxactly where there previous white spot was? Also the eyes were red, not sure if thats normal or what.
Here are some pictures, sorry there not clear at all, my camera is rubbish
The fish seem ok but one penguin tetra seems a little less active staying near pump, so not sure if that one is ok.
I havent a clue whats going off?
