Not sure what the problem is here folks. I have a small tank with a couple of shrimps, a couple of corys and 4 danios (2 zebra, 2 leopard). All are happy and healthy apart from one of the zebras. Last night I noticed it swimming around mid-water at a diagonal angle - head raised slightly... it's almost like he's... well, sinking! When he zips around (if someone comes into the room quickly and startles them) he seems fine, just when idling it's like he's having to labour to keep his position in the water. Still in same condition this morning.

All readings of water are fine, all other fish are fine, just this one!

Any ideas?

My dad had a neon tetra like that. Lived for a good while though.... I dunno, swim bladder problem of some sort??? Anyone else?

it does indeed sound like a swim bladder problem.

the three main things that effect the swim bladder are
1 ) physical damage (think bruised rib on us)
not a lot you can do for this, time will heal it.

2 ) intestinal blockage.
feed a cooked, deshelled, garden pea. this acts as a laxative and should clear the blockage. you will know if it has worked as you should see a string of green poop.

3 ) bacterial infection.
there are meds for this, Interpet swim bladder treatment is one.
