I haven't quite mastered how to take pics of my fish as they rarely keep still and had to feed the fry in this nursery a sinking shrimp pellet to get them together and hopefully contrast the two. Besides the balloon molly the only other live bearer in the aquarium are platies

There are 6 or 7 of the brown looking fry and they tend to group/school together in the nursery tank while the balloon molly fry are more inquisitive/playful and tend to explore "individually"

I see both platy and molly fry in your picture LondonGuy. Is there any particular question that you have about them?

Until recently I had thought that the darker coloration was probably due to the stress from being left in my main tank where my diamonds would chase them. Though I'm really glad that seven or so are confirmed platties.

Then nursery temp is 25C should I change that?

And for future reference, if there are two pregnant fish in an aquarium that are the same or (as in this case) different species could one giving birth induce the other to give birth prematurely. Perhaps by the release of some form of fish endorphins?
