Well, I am bored of looking at my pitiful angry lonely gourami in my work tank.
....he did have a tankmate - a little yellow catfish, and they lived together reasonably happliy for a few months. catfish died...i think parasite? Got all skinny and sat at the bottom of the tank.

Any how....before he was in this tank (40L) he was in my bigger tank at home and was a serial pest there.
I (stupidly) bought a few guppies recently, in the small tank, and he ripped them up in like 1/2 hour. I had to rescue them before they were massacred.

He is all alone in the tank, probably quite happy to be alone...however I want to look at something else in the tank.
He is not very exciting....cause he doesn't get excited/agitated often all alone, he is always pale and you can't see his beautiful blue colourings.

is there anything else I can add to the tank that won't upset him...or the new tankmates health?
Ideas??

My Opaline is mean too. I moved him to my aggressive tank. I did previously keep him with a school of Danios no problem. As always....no guarantee.

Yea - I know!!
This meanie has previosuly been kept with danios, dwarf gourami and guppies, with no chasing, nipping or massacre.
But I was reading some other posts, and it might be becuase he has matured since then , and become more aggressive.
I have had him for over 2 years. I have no idea how long they live...?
