One Female Platy Being Bullied By My Male Platy.

I have a 6 gallon tank which i am slowly adding fish to. I just got two new fish another sunset which i already had one of and a molly. The older sunset kept bullying the younger one and i couldn't figure out why. I finally figured out one was female the other male. What do i do now?

What kind of activity are you seeing with the platies? Is the male actually attacking the other fish or just following her around and trying to mate with her?

well he seems to be leaving her alone now which makes me think he wants to breed with her. He's not biting at all but now i have the problem of a pregnant fish! I only have a six gallon tank so i cant really hold a large clutch of babies and i already have 4 fish in the tank. Anything i can do? Anything i shouldn't do?

its a bit late now but with livebearers if you dont want fry then buy males only as normally males and females will be kept together at lfs and you are sure to have a pregnant female due to this.

Thanks for the info he stopped bugging her which i take to mean he got her pregnant. Thanks for the help though
