Ok, so i have a dwarf gourami who is used to being "king of the tank" people at petsmart tell me i can add another gourami. i buy a blue pwder and my dwarf starts violently attacking him. we rehomed the blue powder in my friends 20 gallon and he is fittinng in just fine, but im worried about my platy who is being kept in a temporary tank until she is big enough to go in with the gourami. Should i be worried thet the gourami will attack the platy? Also i have noticed a snail in my tank that i have never EVER seen before... i may need to do in ich treatment soon because of the blue powder that was in the tank... if i use meds that will kill it, and if i do salt that will kill it... as well as the live plants... advice?

I have a male Powder Blue Dwarf in a tank with some Variatus Platies. The gourami chases them just a little, usually when feeding. The Variatus play rougher amongst themselves, so it doesn't worry me. The gourami just gives it a half effort. Now if I were to put another male gourami in there, I could see there being a major problem between the two gouramis.
