Hi this one is for betta breeders,How many male bettas can you get on a average sized spawn?Im just trying to work out everything.thanks.

It really depends on the size of the spawn, since you can have anywhere between 20 and 500 babies, there's really no way to tell. Though it has been shown that there tend to be more females and males in a spawn

Still it'll be around 50-50 right? just wondering, doing a course in genetics ya see.
I know that in humans its about 48-52.

Not sure the actual ratios, but I know that in most spawns I've had or read about there were more females, then males. Though I've also read that things like temp and ph can effect the gender ratio, not sure how true that is.

Ive heard that to.Well if i split my tank into 3inch square cubes that means i could get 46 males in there.The males will be like an inch long so plenty of room.And i will be selling them quickly.Wht you lot think?

I only bred bettas once and got about 80 babies, 56 of which were females and 24 males...
