Hey he's spotted another one (thinking betta - not sure if parents will allow though). Minxy advised no light but ty anyways. I don't like open tops scares me to think of my fish dyeing just as i didn't put a lid on. No pets upstairs no boisterous children cept me! Thanks i luffle her to bits to!

they are easy to find, i keep finding tanks and giving them to my mates. i gave my friend a hood that may have fit that tank but oh well to late now. juat put a single piece of glass over the top with small holes drilled in for cables and air to escape. il look out for a hood jess dw. h and soz bowt the msn thing, i was just trying to explain to ya btw. jezz lets not go nuts!

well you arent local. i went into school before with a 4g tank!!! it was amusing but i had to leave it in the locket cupboard!! i give them free stuff all the time!

Not sure i read it anywhere else but you just put the media from your small filter or the newly cut media and place it in you large filter. if you keep 2 pieces of media in the large filter you can run back to back illnesses....

Okay new questions
1) Is a 25 watt heater okay for it + it has a thermoter - £10 including P+P.
2) Is ebay good to buy things off?
3) And on ebay if you type in sponge filters see the green one that says Air Powered Sponge Filter (killifish endlers betta fry). Would that be enough filtration remembering its only a quarintine tank...and hopstial.

Ebay is ok providing you check out the sellers feedback and it looks good, its always best to pay with paypal though so you are covered in the event of non delivery or items not as they are desribed, get your dad to check them out 1st.

25w + thermo for £10 is pretty good.
Yep you only need a sponge filter for a QT tank.

Edit: are you sure thats an actual filter on ebay?

I don't know - do u think it looks like a sponge with a tube can you look for some and tell me them / links i can't find any.
