Omg So Excited! Cant Wait To Get It!

the black or brightly colored stuff seems to hold up better. there is only one place around me that sells the black and colored. it can be found online as well though, so be sure to look there.

I forget to mention eariler, to hold the dividers up I have used suction cups in the past, but do not recomend them for long term. they do hold good in the begining, but after a while in the warm water they get brittle, hard and refused to hold properly. silicon holds permanitly and wont get brittle and break.

Apologies for swinging off topic a bit on this one...

man thats even bigger than the 10G in our house and it less expensive than than ours.

Hang on..you think 10 gallons is big?
???

Have to defend squiremaster on this one... he never said a 10g was "big". Simply said that it is "bigger" (larger) than his family 10g tank and it was a cheap. I'm sure he won't mind me paraphrasing in this instance.

Lets not poke at comments that have no ill-intentioned purposes ;) .... even if a 4ft tank is obviously larger than a 10 gallon.

no tank is big until it takes two people to carry it, empty of course. I look at the 29 gallon and say egh, I can still pick that up and carry it myself.
hmmm. soooooooooo.... my 75 gallon is still considered small on this sort of basis. I like it! :good:

I need to try to carry a 125 gallon on my own in hopes that it will still be small. I might be able to convince my better half that a 200 gallon is "barely medium" :woot:

BTW. Awesome find on that tank. Now comes the difficulty in filtering the tank properly with a low current. The dividing is simple with aquarium silicone.

Personally I would divide this into 4. I recently had a 2ft divided into 3, which I thought was fine, but when one fish died I moved the dividers so the tank is divided into 2 and I feel the remaining bettas are much happier with that little bit of extra swimming room :)

my husbands idea of tank size has become very biased from his new job. he just cant look at little tanks in the same way anymore :hyper:

I told my fiancee' i would drive the 70k round trip lol and buy him lunch. I was thinking of an external filter for filtration. This would allow the spray bar to be extended and go all the way across. Its just the inlet pipe/filter part i am not sure what to do with or how to make sure all areas get good filtration.

my penplax divider I also use black cross stitch backing, I cut the penplax screen and the cross stitch backing to fit and then put them both in the end parts and siliconed them in well.
