I was totally amazed this morning when my royal mail delivery man turned up. I asked him if he'd brought my dead fish with him  and explained that she'd been posted last Tuesday. I opened the box very hesitantly and to my utter astonishment there she was looking up at me with her fins moving about :good: She'd been in a bag for nearly a week and nothing to eat for a week  I didn't even expect her to turn up after so long,- but to turn up alive is just a miracle!! My hubby says I should call her Lazarus as she's come back from the dead  Sounds a bit too masculine for me. I've been calling her Miracle so far. The kids are calling her Lucky. I'll have to decide upon something long term.

I cannot tell you how happy I am,- and thanks to all of you who've sent me messages :D I've been so worried. I will take pics as soon as I am able. So far she's just swimming around amongst the roots of the Amazon Frogbit and so it's been impossible to take any photos!

My delivery man said that if anyone posting fish puts the word PERISHABLE on the package the parcel will be treated with a lot more care and as a priority. :good: :D

I can't believe it! Thank god she's come through okay :good:

Well thats good news to hear. Fish are able to survive for over a week without food and fighters have the ability to breath from the air. In other words if that was any other fish it would properly be dead. But thats still quite amazing. Glad to hear you got your fighter back nice and safe though. :good:

Fighter by name, fighter by nature!

That's an amazing story! I'm so glad she made it!

Don't let your kids call her 'Lucky' Every animal I've ever known called Lucky came to an unfortunate end :-(

Absolutely brilliant news! Really happy for you and your little Miracle! :hyper:
