well nobody said it was a cheap habit lol :p

pros outweigh the cons though and what else would you do with that money anyway lol.............

  know the feeling.

i dread to think how much we spend. in the last 6 months we've spent about 900 on tanks and equipment alone, then there's fish, plants, decor, meds, food and probably about a billion other thing's i've forgotten. oh yeah and then there's 50 a month leccy bill, just moved 2 new tanks in so that'll be going up too.

Alas, being a poor student means that I bought a new quar/hospital tank and can't play with it for a month or two.

Which is kinda good as I'm still waiting for it to cycle... Bringing some media from my other tank doesn't seem to have done much good I'm afraid.

Ah well, patience makes perfect, and not being able to eat might spell an untimely end for my fish. Best I don't have them, then they end up as fishsticks.

Crikey - what on earth on? - especially seeing that you don't even have a new tank

Over the past year or so I've been keeping an excel spreadsheet with everything I spend on my fishy hobby - and it's quite bad too :/

I wanted a fish tank for my birthday and naively told my hubby it was going to be a nice, cheap, relaxing hobby.

I was wrong! LOL!

just 'chicken feed' compared to how much i spend per month.
:)

Weeell, I only techincally get £20 per month, but I get extra every term from my job at school, plus any change I keep from the taxi every day... I don't buy that much, its just that when I do, I buy a lot.
