OliveFish05’s double tank journal and builds (20 gallon tropical community and 40 gallon axolotl tank)

Yeah, but not an iota as cool as your tree idea. YourFishStuff has a Java called Thor’s Hammer which would make a cute tree too.
what kind of wood did you use?
I saw that, it is so ruffly! I used a manzanita branch. My sisters dog chewed a chunk off my larger piece and it turned out to be a very nice little tree:lol:

And dog feet too?😹😹😹😹
Yes, evil Clover. The one who chewed the driftwood! And also ate all my axolotls pellets! She is pure evil. Dirty rotten dog:lol:

She’s adorable! Corgi?

I try to keep the axie pellets in the fridge to protect them from Frankle the big Pug Mutt.

OMG! I have a sack of manzanita twigs, purchased for my parrot to chew on. So it’s safe for the tank? Any prep required?

How can you call her evil..? Look at those beautiful blue eyes…😍
She’s rotten! She once sat in a room where I was working on something, I don’t remember what. She started digging through the trash can and grabbed something, so I took it fro her and scolded her. She looked at me, walked over to a jacket I had left on the floor, and peed all over it. She looked at me with a snarky spark in her eyes before walking away like “hah. Dare scold me, peasant?”

Yep they are aquarium safe! My branches came without bark, though I don’t think the bark is harmful to anything! Where did you get the manzanita twigs? Seems like someone could have a whole business selling little manzanita twigs with a bit of slate as “trees”!

I’m going to do a water change in the axolotl tank and rescape it with the new plants. I was going to do it yesterday, but didn’t feel up to it. Our sweet Cosette passed away and we are all heartbroken. She was going to be 11 in December. I also want to say that we have (well, had) 9 dogs and a lot of people, even family, judge us for it. You can have 9 dogs and love every single one of them as much as someone with one dog would. Having 9 doesn’t make it easier to lose one. If you take good care of the animals you have, have as many as you can love, afford, and take good care of because you only live once and dogs make life better😭

Got the 40 breeder axolotl tank all done. Been working on it since 7 am. I took my time with it, I don’t have anything better to do. I called my grandma while I worked, which was fun. Also got super glue ALL over my fingers. Now I need to clean up my bedroom so I can show y’al both tanks. @JennySolano i don’t know how you think axolotls are boring, I love mine! They are just too fun. Kirby isn’t as pretty as the others, but he is so much more active. The yellow one loves to sit in his little teacup.

I really love this tank size. Someday I would love to have a 75 gallon and a 125 gallon. The 18 inch width is so just so nice. I need to put backgrounds on both tanks still.

Some more photos. All 5 honey gourami are there and doing great! One has been hiding a bit, but looks good.

I love the golden albino. She’s got so much personality. She sits in her little teacup and comes up to the glass all curious when I walk by. My grandma suggested the name Belle, because she is yellow and just loves her teacup. I actually really love the name.

OK, I have to admit that I had to look at this picture for several seconds before deciding that it did not, in face, depict the front half of an axie that had been chopped in half. I'm relieved.

Tank is looking great! You do seem to have some tea lovers.
