Old Coral

Hi guys,

a couple of years ago I brought from Cuba big coral, I had no tank at that time. I properly dried it on a sun.
Now it smells a little but feels like stone. Is that safe enough to put it into my tank as a small decoration?

It should be fine. Itll be like a piece of live rock

Boil it, for how long?

If its like live rock, is it cured live rock or uncured?

If it's coral then it's not live rock nor is it rock so it's neither cured nor uncured. Whenever I have pieces of coral or shore trash that I find on the beach to add to the tank I boil it for about 5-10 minutes. Then I let it cool/dry on a paper towel for a day.
