Okay Something Is Wrong

i'm still confused on what to do with the tank, i will keep the fry in the other tank for now untill they get biger, then i'll drop them in it. till then this tank will remain empty.

If you are going to leave it emply, I would break it down and do a thorough cleaning to hopefully, remove any thing that may be causing a problem. And if you only plan to use it as a fry tank, I would forget the substrate and decorations.

Setting up a brand new tank is one of the few situations where I will run carbon for a few days. Aquariums are made by macines now, machines need oiling, and are often cleaned with solvents. Some of these things can be left in a new tank, being petroleum based they don't rinse off easily, and can slowly leach in to your water. Use a water conditioner that deals with heavy metals as well, once again, residue from the manufacturing process.

i striped it totally down cleaned the tank out with soap and did a super wash downw ith extreme hot water, did the same with filter.
the remainder 3 fry seem to be doing very well in the other tank now :)

the tank smells like glue and vinager still i dunno if this is harming the fish and the cause, but i did wash it down well.

If the tank smell of glue and vinegar there was your answer.
Poor fish.
I would let the tank dry out for a few days, sounds liike the silcone hasnt dried properly.

yeah i think you are right, when do you think i can resume using it again??

okay my fry are dying even in the 20gal tank, what is the problem now???

Do you mean the fry from the 10 gallons that you transferred to the main tank.
Or other fry?

yes the fry i strnsfered from the 10gal

The damage could of already been done.
The toxin probably in the fish blood stream, not much to be done I'm afraid so sorry.

okay, the tank has been sitting on the stand empty for a few days now, do you think it is safe to add other fish to it??

If there no smell and you think its ok it should be fine.
Good luck.
