I am proud of them.....seeing as how they are my first real fish photos!!

I am glad some people out there can appreciate Polly ) ) . He is a hybrid fish......two different cichlids. Also, he was dyed. Not to start a whole HUGE outbreak of posts trying to slaughter me......I didn't know about the dying process when I bought him. I will never buy another dyed fish again.....trust me!! As you can see in the pictures the dye is still in him in spots, little flecks of purple on his back for example. It is almost all gone though,....thank god!!! It stunts the growth process. I like the natural orange "goldfish" color MUCH better. It is so bright and cheerful and fits his personality.

I love him none the less. Remember, if you don't have anything nice to say DON'T SAY IT HERE!!! Just rave over my photos ) I've never got to experience the whole, "Oh, look at Silver's fish they're sooo pretty" or "Cool photos Silver"

Can this fish move its mouth? Or is it fixed?

I suppose its an interesting fish to look at.

I was off the board for a while and just recently came back on, remember me ) !!

The older the fish gets, the more I think his mouth is fixed that way. I feel bad for him, mixed emotions . He seems to eat allright, again the older he gets I think the harder it is for him to eat. He is really resourceful though.....follows my corys around eating all the debris they kick up....pretty cute actually.

He is a pretty cool fish to look at....I know by your signature that you hate Blood Parrots and with good reason I know. But I have had him for over a year and don't intend on killing him off now just because some wackos decided to make their "science experiment". He's a really cool fish depsite the jaw thing, which is horrible I know. I just love him so much anyway. Out of all of my fish...gourami's, angels, SDs, corys, pleco and of course a goldfish.....he has to be my favorite one. He's kind of...well...dumb!!! Like one of those dorky dogs that are all ARF...ARF....I'm an idiot, but you love them anyways. Kind of like that.

I've lost interest in fish so not around that often.

I'm sorry to hear that you've lost interest in fish. You know, I kind of know what you mean. I just recently went through the first home buyers HELL and was so stressed out for so long that I was starting to wish that I didn't have any fish to take care of. My interest in them diminished drastically. But after everything is all said and done and my life is a little less like a roller coaster I am once again enjoying my fish keeping hobby immensly.

Maybe it is the same with you!!??? Maybe give it time and you will LOVE the hobby once again.
