Ok, Probably The Most Moronic Heater Question....

First things first. My excuse: I haven't had a running aquarium in about 25 years.
I recently bought a 20 gal H setup used, and it came with a 50w Visitherm (not the stealth, the one with the thermometer guage on it)heater.
No directions, no packaging.
So I look online at this heater. It says fully submersible(?).
Question: Does this mean it's alright to stick the whole thing, top temp controller and all, below the water surface?
Sorry. Just wanna make sure. I've been electrocuted enough in my lifetime.

There is usually a "minimum water level" line on the filter itself so you can submerge the heater from this upwards really,
My heaters are always about 6-8" down in the tank so i don't have to turn them off when i do water changes
 
If it says it's fully submersible than it's safe to "dunk" it. I would run the power through a GFCI in case of faults...
