As some of you may know i went on a betta hunt last weekend, i got a real nice male thats so funny to watch, ' not sure what he is yet though'.
Anyway, today i made a divider for my 5gal, its worked out pretty good, here it is.

i had to make the one end shorter so it would fit under my over head light.

here he is

I put some plastic leaves in, they float so he can go under them, he seems to like them anyway.

I get my small tanks from down the Tip! I use condensation trays as lids. That looks a good split tank mind it doesnt have a gap at the top though as one of my young ones got in the other side.....world war 3.....also has it got a lid

I'm deciding wether or not to buy a nice male off dpfishways, not usre yet though, i might go on another hunt lol

The tank has no lid, ive left just under 3 inches gap from the waters surface, just incase he feels like taking the leap of faith

no they aren't windscreen wipers, im not quite sure what they are, they are made of plastic, about and inch in width and they have an opening from top to bottom, so i just simply slid the plastic mesh down into them. so no silicone used

Have you gotten him to flare for you yet? It would be easier to tell then

I did actually, while i was planting i put my finger close to him and he flared and bit me

I'll have to get a mirror and then take a pic.

Very nice tank! Where did you find those plastic pieces if I may ask? Not the actual dividers itself, just the "track" for it?
