Our fish was very much pregnant last night. Very... very heavy. This morning, she was slim and clean as a whistle, with no fry in sight. Ok, so maybe she ate them all in the dark. Alas, there is a new kid in the tank: a baby snail. Is there any way... any at all.. that those two species have mate and made parents to that cute little zebra baby-snail? [Yes, there are two snails in there and is probably their brood. But what a coincidence!]

Fish and snails cannot possibly mate. Many (maybe all for all I know) snails can reproduce individually. If the fish is a livebearer, it could have been impregnated months ago.

That is impossible to my knowledge.

It is most likely just a coincidence. (Also, Zebra Nerite snails do not breed in freshwater)
