Its a male apistogramma agassizii. It would get battered by the cons there a type of SA dwarf cichlid that only get to about 3" and not the toughest of cichlids.

haha. They are great fish. Theres loads of different types of apistogramma but agassizii

can all apisto's live together or some too aggresive, a mixed apisto tank would look very nice imo

They can live together. There not that aggressive they do get a little feisty when breeding but there not big enough or strong enough to do any serious damage to eachother. Although im not sure if the would cross breed if you have a few different types together. Its unlikely but i think its possible.

i would probably have all males anyway as it is purely gonna be a pretty fish tank, and most fish the males are prettier, and as u said they cant do any damage all males shouldn be a problem

have u thought about doing a profile for them, i just looked in fish species index and aggasizzi is not in the, infact there are only 2 apisto's in there

Sounds good. The males might still have little scraps but since theres no females around they will probably just sort out a hierarchy and leave it at that.

I could do. But apparently it takes months for the mods to accept them so not sure its worth it.

would be usefull if they did accept it, considering the amount of different apisto's and only 2 profiles, leaves some people stuck choosing between just them 2
