On my betta tank there is an oily film,
What caused this?
How do i cure it?
How do i prevent it happebing in future,
Thanks Guys,
James

Nothing much you can do. But don't worry, it's not an emergency :)
It's quite common in betta bowls / tanks with no or little surface movement and no lid to prevent particles settling on the surface.
It's mostly fine particles (such as dust) that creates this oily look. This is not dangerous for your fish, but if you have no lid, be cautious of what you spray or use close to the water.

It's ok iv'e got a lid :p
Thanks anyway.
I will need a id on all of the future betta tanks aswell. I have an evil cat
