Oh The Things Our Bettas Do!

oh the world of bettas! it is NEVER a dull moment when interacting with my betta! his name is Reign, he has a tourquoise body, dark blue fins with a red streak. he is a beautiful crowntail that i rescued from a tiny cup at walmart...he is the newest addition to his own 10gal planted tank in my bedroom. when i walk in the room he swims out to greet me! he eats from my hand and also kisses my finger. he loves to play hide and seek with me. he will hide and when i point my finger at him he swims out and kisses the tank! then he is back to hiding and im back to seeking. i have never had a betta with such a wonderful personality! i just had to share this with everyone and see if any others have similar personalities! please share your story here and pictures if you'd like! if you want to see a picture of Reign theres a link in my profile for my myspace! i would love to hear your betta stories!

Haha, my Tropica, when she was alive, used to bite me. I would put my finger in the tank and *PRESTO* I would be bitten. It was cute. ^^;

My 1st male had the best personality ever, he used to kiss my finger when i said kiss before bedtime. He was perfect and the best betta i've ever had, unfortunately he only lived for 3 months then suddenly died, ill always remember him.

ive had him for about 4 months now. he has just lightened my life so much in these short months! im glad i decided to get him.

My betta always bites my fingers when I put my hand in the tank. It's cos I hand feed him. He also jumps out the water a bit to get his food, though he always misses. I also find it funny that he never flares at the corys or loaches in his tank but he flares at me all the time. I try not to take it too personally.

What I like most is how curious he is. When I open and close the tank lid, or put the light on, the other fish will quickly swim and hide but he charges to the front to see what's going on. He's not at all shy.

Gambit tries the whole jumping and colliding into my hand at feeding time which always makes me jump (and he always misses). Calcifer is an absolute Diva and swear he knows if you are insulting or complimenting him oh and he HATES the colour black so much so me and my partner are careful what we wear around him - honestly!

that is sooo cute! Reign will only flare at one of my platy females. its not even a full flare, more like showing his beard to get her out of his space. lol. he has lightened my life sooo much over the past few months im soooooo glad i decided to get him!

Mine made me laugh this morning, I came down just as the lights came on and he was wrapped tight around the top of the stalk one of my plants fast asleep. I've been wondering for about a week why they've been so slanted lately and not stood upright, now I know

I was thinking of rehoming him but since the removal of my chain loach (who were picking on him) he has really started to show his character.

I currently have a breeding net full of baby guppies in my tank as there isn't room in my other tanks. He's been sitting under it all day, keeping guard and chasing my clown loach and keyhole cichlids away anytime they come near
