Oh No Help

turn them back on lol, no on a serious note, what temp is the tank at and what size of tank is it? the larger the tank the longer it takes for the temp to drop.

Do a water change to help the heater along, but remember its a slow increase back to the original temp so not to shock there systems

When you come home do a water test to make sure tank has not gone into a cycle, do not overfeed fish whilst the bacteria levels come back up.

it only dropped to 71 so its not too bad but not good buy anymeans

im more worried about my filter

im having the worse day ever

Filter should recover quickly if temp has not dropped too low, just keep an eye on it and it will be fine, I had no power for few hours a few months ago and suffered no ill effects..

You may get a mini cycle if it has been off for that long, keep on top of testing and water changes for the net few weeks. :fish:

Just dont panic: Panic always makes us do things that we shouldnt do.

Cut rigth back on feeding as already stated as the fish will keep pooing for a while and the cycle may need to play catch up.

If the fish look at all stressed, then leave the lights off so they calsm down and their bodies slow. They will react less to temp changes etc if they are "asleep" and their bodies on a go-slow.
