Well earlier this week i decided to order some fish from trimar i wanted:
4 pygmy cories
4 hasbrosus cories
4 tiger shrimp
and a breeding pair of endlers
i ordered on friday to be delivered today.
Disaster #1 - no hasbrosus only 2 left - no point in having two as they like to be in a shoal
Disaster #2- get a phonecall on tuesday - no shrimp- okay leave them off the list
Disaster #3- fish arrive only to find the box has taken an almighty knock and the bag with the endlers in is bust and the endlers are dead!! Trimar are given me my money back and have offered a free pair if i order again which is nice of them. But i am absolutely gutted and not too sure if i want to order again.
I do know of a shop about 30miles away that may have endlers (at an expensive price) but it may be less hassle!!

sorry to hear about that atleast you got your money back

at the end of the day mail order isnt the safest way, but it can be the most convienient and safest,

the company can`t be blamed for transit issues. at least they tried to make up for it

yeah i know that, i blame the couriers. i'm just gutted about the fish and when you really look forward to something its gutting when it all goes wrong. I just needed to rant somewhere where people understand how upset i am. My work colleagues just look at me strangely!!

i can only imagine how gutting it would be, but give them another go and if it works out this time atleast it`ll cost you less

why's that marcos?

it's good if the animals aer packed correctly.....

what about if someone posted a slug would that be bad?

:good:

why would anyone post a slug (unless you hate the person your posting it to)

ps jayjay thats a cool banner whered you get it

I really don't agree wth posting live animals.
So the fish shop will be full of nothing then ? How do you think fish get to the shops ?

aloaring, sorry to hear about it going so wrong :/

i knda agree with marcos.

fish get to shops in big wagons and there packed with other fish tightly in a polystyrene box.

if you post them then the package wil get thrown around all over the place and the fish arent stable like in a flat lorry.

Well, you'd think that a courier like TNT does the same - I sincerely doubt a single box would be rattling & sliding around a delivery truck and thrown from post to pillar. I've received fish from Trimar before too and the packaging was excellent. Tightly packed, insulated the lot. No problems.
