well, i knew there were lots of flies around here (lots of dogs, cats, horses, cows and ponies) but i never knew there were that many!
i woke up this morning and find three flies floating around my ten gallon, their butts wide open. one was being dragged around by a very happy looking Black Neon. two more were wedged into the gravel being nibbled and snapped at by the Kuhliis and Betta. in Pierce's tank another fly floated along, already dead.
oy! the only opening in the hood is where the water from the filter flows back in! i can't cover it up, and i certainly can't kill every fly (you kill ten at noon, there're twenty by two) is this bad for the tank? i mean, it probably is, by is it really all that bad? i know some fish (like Archers) eat insects, and most other tiny predators do to.
