I know its not exactly what your after but if you don't mind a trip down the m54, I'm pretty sure Coxwell aquatics still have a few 2-3" Aequidens coeruleopunctatus, These are simply a blue acara variant found in Panama

This pic isn't mine (and IMO doesn't really do them justice) but shows the breeding colours of the species, funnily enough mine shows these colours whenever it is around my JD, at other times it is much prettier with bright green spangling and a bright orange red tint to its dorsal fin

Aequidens pulcher from Venezuela
Aequidens coeruleopunctatus from Panama
Aequidens latifrons from Columbia
Aequidens sapayensis from Ecuador

I did try Ebay Nelly ended up with an ugly looking little blue doll thing lol

Davo your naughty, thats really nice. I will look them up see where they are, thanks very much.

I just hope when I do finally get one it doesnt turn out to be a green terror!

I feel bad for you because all of my LFS's have them in regularly...usually Latifrons (the gold top fins) and Pulcher (Silver top fins)...always cheap to around £2.95 per fish.

I'll try and put up some pics of mine tomorrow, if he decides to stay still long enough

Oh and if all else fails, I can order in a load of A.Pulcher in at work, if you don't mind travelling to Shrewsbury to collect that is
