With the fin out of the water in shallow tanks and all? Well, Sharkie has no jaw anymore =\

A few weeks ago the heater wonked out, and while his mate took a nose-dive the Danios/Tetras decided he was a good source of food and nibbled a hole right behind his upper-lip. The past week he was hiding in the plants and refusing to come out, and yesterday he was swimming nose-down and hiding behind rocks and the heater.

Today, he comes out to eat, and the poor boy has NO upper lip. It's just flesh, all pink and (to everyone else, I assume) tasty-looking. He looked like he wanted to eat so badly, but shied away from the food. The poor thing has gone back into hiding, and I don't know what to do. I don't want to kill him if he has a chance, because I know he's been eating (fishpoop!) but I don't want him to die slowly because he can't eat enough, or have someone else eat him.

No. The only extra tank I have at the moment is an empty, cycled two-gal that I just moved a Betta out of for being too cold. Even though he's still short enough to fit, it wouldn't do his wound any good.
