I'm taking some juvi's to the lfs later, they have been growing out in my main tank, and 2 of the young males are trying to mate with the adult females

These are around 2 months old,i tried to separate the males & females as best i can,think there's 8 male guppies & 3 platys,and 10 female guppies.

Sad to see them go,has i got attached to the yellow & blue males

here's a short video of them, the females are the first trap
guppy video

i think you have some females in with the males/platy

are you selling them/trading them?

how come you cant keep them?

They all had male organs when i put them in  o well let lfs sort them, they'll probably put them all together anyway.

I need the space 14 of them were growing out in the main tank and i just want them out now,the rest came from the fry tank, they're outgrowing that one

I phoned up the lfs,he is expecting me,but he won't give me owt for them

Its a shame i have had them for sale in local ads,but i suppose xmas is in the way!

he's out of room so i've heard... And he cant get any more tanks

I'm a she :) got 3 tanks now,no more room at the inn...

 ouch NOTHING for them.

LFS people are harsh.

what about cory's i bet they'll give you atleast something for them!

if not tell them to ehm. off because you can get better deals else where :)

I shall sell the corys privately if them make it,certainly won't take them to lfs.

If you want to actually get something for well raised fish, sell them at a club auction. Most clubs do not require you to be a member to put something into their auction. Auctions are a fund raiser for the club and they will take out 20 to 30% before giving you the proceeds, but at least the bit you get is cash. The only hazard to a fish club auction is all the nice buys you will see. I always come home with my fish sold, but my pockets are a bit lighter.

This is why i would always look to slight alternatives in easy to breed fish, when i have kept guppies i do it only males.. if i wanted to keep a mixed sex group i would go for endlers, that way you have a better chance of selling them, like wise when i was thinking about keeping convict cichlids(extreemly easy to breed) i would sideline that and go for their close cousin, the honduran red point.

otherwise you wont be able to get rid of them so easily...
