I am planning on getting a regulator from greanleafaquariums and either a 5 or 10lb cylinder. My only problem is that my tanks are in the living room and the stand I have is only 18'' in height with a shelf in the middle, even if I took the shelf out the cylinders are also 18'' in height. I would never be able to keep them beside the tanks with dogs and kids around them constantly. I have a utility room door not to far away, but if I put the cylinders back there the CO2 line would have to go across a hallway under the carpet. Would it be okay running the line under the carpet or would this be a bad idea?

Bad idea mate, you can buy stumpy bottles, esp stumpy fire extinguishers. :good:

Hmmm maybe they're not available in the US, lets face it in the US they have to biggest and best everything (no sarcasm intended there) so maybe they don't do small FE's.

Haha, Looks like I need to go shopping for a different stand, or think about moving the tank. Thanks though.

How about a disposable welding cylinder system? Still cheaper to replace than aquarium ones.
