One of my male Pseudomugil signifers Pacific blue eyes/Signifer rainbows seems to have decided to become a cave dweller. He shows no outward signs of being ill at all, still extremely active. Just, he likes his cave and chases EVERYTHING away. Which seems odd for a fish that is SUPPOSED to like faster water movement near the surface. But hey, fish do what they want to I guess right? Just wondering if anyone else ever noticed Rainbows/Blue eyes acting odd?
:dunno:

Have you got more than one in there? No personal experience with this fish, but sounde like a breeding behavior to me.

I have 6, 3m and 3f ... The males are flashing at each other but show little interest in the females. Only the one sticks in the cave, the other 2 males will zip past and draw him out into a bought of flashing then he darts right back to the cave. When one of the females passes by, he doesn't display, he chases her away. Seems to me if he was trying to mate, he would try to display rather than run her off.
