Ocean Rock Ph ?

Hi
I am thinking about picking up some Ocean Rock but with out the rock my ph is 8.0PH
If I add the rock will it take my PH soaring ?

I am using sliver sand at the min !
but I have found some Crushed Coral going cheap

but would the rock and coral sand with my ph go rocking up ?

my tap water is 8.0PH

any help would be great

It wont go soaring no. It may help buffer a little.

k I was thinking it mint higher my ph as have heard it is used to higher ph lvls ??

Its a mixed bag. Some say it helps but some say it doesnt due to the fact the buffering cant keep up with the water changes. ie. it cant disslve faster enough. If it does rise, it will only be minimul so i wouldnt worry. It wont go rocketing off. cheers

It'll bring it up to about 8.2-8.4.

mmm nice just got 75kg of Ocean Rock for £60 lets see what it dose to my ph hoping to hell my ph dose not rise by much !!!

I already have malawis i am just starting with stocking the tank its 480ltrs i got cobbles but the guys in my tank are already moving them about
as thay are easy move cose thay are round

so was thinking it be best to swap over to the rocks
