sand does look good.. but why do all fish shops try and sell us coral..?

That sand looks ok to me, quite like it.
The black fish is Pseudotropheus Acei "Black Ngara".

he is a nice fish..think i will go for a few of them in my tank...

They are beautiful fish and photos don't do them justice. The males had dark bands across their head that were a blue/black colour, looked stunning under the light.

will all them fish be in any local fish shop or do i need to go to a breeder..?

All depends on what stores you have near you and what the stock is like. If you are spending money on Malawi, then make sure you get decent quality ones.
