I bought a fake object that looks like the bottom of a swamp tree not exactly.

I have the one on the bottom left...
Its made out of some poly-resin or something and I'm just wondering what I should do when i want to introduce it to the tank. Should I wash it in some de-chlorinated water and make sure no foreign chemicals or whatever are on it?

A quick rinse under the tap and then a rinse in de-chlorinated water should be enough.
