Obcenely expensive?

I've developed a thing for red tiger lotus...so prettyTiger lotus
Only problem? In my city they retail for up to and over $AU60 a pop! Amazed and flabbergasted. Not willing to pay that much for a plant that may not work in the tank!
So, can anyone direct me to an australian based online plant company? Dont want to have to deal with customs or anything so dont want to use overseas based companies.

Strewth, that's expensive!!

Bulbs are only about £2 here in the UK. I'm afraid I don't know any Oz dealers. Aussie Star may be able to help - although I haven't seen him for a while on the forum.

That's $46.20 US... Even some corals sell less than that. My brother just bought a tiger lotus plant for ~$4.50. Maybe you could try talking with the merchants and see where they get their plants from and why the price is so high (1000% markup). If all else fails, you could also try PMing mr miagi, I think he's in australia.

Have you tried ebay. They are often available on ebay in the uk for a couple of pounds.
