Nymphaea Stellata

Has anybody grown Nymphaea stellata befor? If so what is it like and how hard is it? Pics welcom as i cant find any good ones on the web.
Im thinking of getting some but thought i would just ask for some feedback first. Thanks a lot Joemuz

I don't know what variety I have - mines red. Other than mine needs lots of light, it grows really easily.

Does is flower at the surface or beneath? If im not mistaken, they are like a little rock when you plant them arn't they?
I found a picture of some. How long do they take to flower and what are they like?Are they big?

Oh well. Are they too big for a 54L aquarium? Im gonna get some next week.

I wouldn't think so. I have one in my 15gal tank. It just stays smaller. That one is barely 4 inches tall, and is an offspring of the one in my 90 gal, that gets 15 or 18 inches tall. It's all to do with lighting.

I would love to see how yours is growing and havnt seen any good pics of them.

WOW! They are gowjas! They are realy nice. I just found another lillie species and its beautifull. Heres a pi, it's called Hydrocotyle leucocephala

Never heard of that one. I had a monster patch of Hydo. Verticulata that i loved until I got sick of it. lol

When i realy like something i cant get rid if it! I get easily attached to things.
It's how i end up with most of my fish

I know how you feel. It was a key part of my tank, but got to be too much work, and just wasn't in line with how I wanted to look. so one day I went in with the intention of pruning, and I ripped it all out.

The one I have only had small leaves (30mm long) on short stems.......... until I got the C02 going. Leaves are now around 140mm long, and reach the surface. Once they get going, growth rate is very rapid.

How long do they take to sprout out of the bulb as i have just bought some and i am realy exited and can't wait.
