Hi guys,
I'm now a proud owner of a new 95l fish tank and have started to set up over the last three days (Tropical). I have been adding as directed Nutrafin cycle. Does this speed up when you can introduce fish?. It states that you can add fish within 48 hours of treatment, being new I wanted to ask how exact is this. I have introduced live plants already does this help with the bacteria build up?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

firstly, welcome to the forum!

secondly, well done for questioning that 48hr statement. I fell for exactly the same and ended up in a 'fish-in' cycle that took me almost three months to complete.

May I direct you to our beginners area? Have a look in there at the beginners topics and read through the cycling ones. Cycling is the most important part of setting up any new tank so you'll be doing yourself a huge favour if spend the time to have a read.

If you have any questions on it, post them back here in this thread.

If you need a shortcut to the beginner's resource centre, it's in my sig ;)
